Corrections Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Chai Panchayat is committed to correcting factual errors in a clear and timely manner when we become aware of them.
What We Correct
We consider corrections for material factual errors, including incorrect names, dates, locations, figures, quotations, attributions and other information that could materially mislead readers.
How to Request a Correction
Send the article URL, identify the specific statement you believe is incorrect, explain the correction and provide a reliable source or supporting information where possible.
Email: chaipanchayat@gmail.com
How We Review Requests
We review correction requests based on the available evidence. A request does not automatically mean that an article will be changed. We may contact the person making the request for clarification or supporting material.
How Corrections Are Applied
When a correction is warranted, we may update the incorrect information directly in the article and, when appropriate, add a brief correction or update note so that readers are not misled about the change.
Updates to Developing Stories
Not every change to an article is a correction. New verified information may be added as a story develops. Where useful, we distinguish significant updates from corrections of previously incorrect information.
Good-Faith Requests
We encourage readers, organizations and public authorities to report genuine factual errors. Requests intended only to suppress accurate reporting or opinions are not necessarily treated as correction requests.
